The Cathay Pacific flight from LAX was unexpectedly calm and enjoyable. The airline operates out of Cathay Pacific LAX Terminal, which is undoubtedly the nicest terminal at LAX in terms of room, architecture, and facilities. The personnel were kind and handled everything expertly during a streamlined check-in process, and the security check didn't take as long as I had anticipated. After passing security, the terminal features a large number of high-end stores, delicious dining options, and cozy places to sit. The Qantas Lounge, which Cathay Pacific customers have access to, was one of the high points—a tranquil area with excellent runway views, showers, and nutritious food options. The boarding procedure was well-organized and on time, with helpful ground workers and clear announcements.
